Entrepreneurs will gather 9-11:30 a.m. Saturday morning at the Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce building to pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges.
The Practice Pitch event will give aspiring business owners a chance to perfect their ideas before participating in the third annual "Pitch-It and Win It" contest in October.
Saturday's session gives each participant five minutes to present their business idea and 10 minutes to answer questions and receive feedback from a panel made up of business professionals.
The practice event, hosted by StartUp Jefferson City, hopes to prepare entrepreneurs for the Oct. 25 contest where prize money is at stake. October participants will have the chance to win a portion of $5,000 in prize money. Saturday's event is free to attend, but registration is required.
