Blair Oaks frosh sweeps

BOONVILLE, Mo. — The Blair Oaks Falcons swept a freshman baseball doubleheader Tuesday from the Boonville Pirates.

Blair Oaks won the opener 10-8. Ben Forch had there hits, scored two runs and drove in two others for the winners, while Jason Rackers totaled three RBI on a bases-clearing double. Mason Gype drove in two runs. Kade Franks got the win, working the first four innings, He allowed five runs (two earned0 on three hits and three walks with seven strikeouts. Ethan Rackers pitched the fifth, giving up three runs (two earned) on two hits and a walk, while striking out one.

The Falcons were 9-3 winners in the nightcap. Franks had two hits and three RBI, while Ethan Rackers scored twice and Tyler Sweahla had two hits. Ethan Rackers was the winner, allowing two runs (one earned) in 12/3 innings. Thomas Verslues pitched 21/3 innings, giving up one run on two hits and a walk while striking out four. Sweahla pitched one inning, striking out one.

Blair Oaks (11-3) will host Helias today.
