ELDON, Mo. - Heavy rain sparked a small electrical fire at Mustang Memorial Park this morning, according to Eldon school district officials.
During a morning thunderstorm, water leaked in through the press box windows and ran down the wall into the lower level, where it appears to have sparked a fire in an electrical outlet. Those flames then ignited team programs and some team store merchandise.
The Eldon Fire Department responded to extinguish the blaze. Minor damage was done inside the building but insurance is expected to cover repairs.
