GRANT CITY, Mo. (AP) - A 58-year-old northwest Missouri man is facing life in prison after being found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of a man whose body hasn't been found.
The St. Joseph News-Press (http://bit.ly/1dPwFym) reports a Gentry County jury found Randy Evans of Stanberry guilty Friday in the death of Danny Wolf, who prosecutors believe was killed in early May 2011 in Evans' home.
A woman who formerly lived with Evans told jurors she saw him kill Wolf, and two of Evans' friends say he confessed to it.
An attorney for Evans questioned whether Wolf was even murdered. The victim's former fiancee testified that Wolf told her in late April if she didn't marry him he might leave the area or kill himself.
Evans is to be sentenced Nov. 7.
