Baseball: Tuscumbia 7, Jamestown 6

JAMESTOWN, Mo. - Tuscumbia held on for a 7-6 victory against Jamestown on Tuesday night in baseball action.

The Lions led 7-4 entering the seventh inning before Andy Thompson pulled Jamestown within a run on a two-run home run. But Wyatt Ahart closed the door with a pair of ground outs to end the game.

Tyler Patterson was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Nate Simmons went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Simmons picked up the win as he allowed four runs (two earned) in five innings. He struck out three and walked two.

Thompson had three RBI for Jamestown while Christian DeVore was 2-for-4.

Colton DeVore took the loss for Jamestown as he allowed four runs on three hits in 22⁄3 innings pitched.
