FAYETTE - Central Methodist rallied to defeat Culver Stockton 37-36 on Saturday. Kaleb Borghardt (California) threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to Paul Stevens with 2:19 left in the fourth quarter to complete the comeback.
The Eagles trailed by as many as nine in the back and forth contest.
Borghardt was 25-of-36 for 300 yards. He also ran for 45 yards on 12 carries.
Logan Rowles (California) added nine tackles. Connor White (Helias High School) had four tackles while Taylor Combs (Tipton High School) and Kody Taylor (Eldon High School) added one tackle each.
The Eagles (2-1) are back in action Saturday against Graceland (Iowa).
