Blair Oaks softball splits

WARRENSBURG - The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons split a pair of games in the Central Missouri Tournament on Friday.

Blair Oaks opened with a 15-0 four-inning win against Clinton.

LeeAnn Polowy paced the attack with three hits, three runs scored and two RBI. Jolie Duffner added two hits and two RBI, and Taylor Markway had two hits and one RBI.

Payton Staggs picked up the win, tossing three innings and allowing one hit with four strikeouts and three walks.

Blair Oaks then ran into a bit of bad luck in a 6-4 loss to Eureka.

The Lady Falcons had runners on second and third in the bottom of the fifth when play was called under the time limit.

Staggs took the loss, allowing six hits and six earned runs with two strikeouts and three walks.

Duffner had two hits and an RBI while Markway added a hit and two RBI.

Blair Oaks (9-3) continues tournament play today against Sullivan at 11 a.m. and Harrisonville at 3 p.m.
