Calvary falls to Wright City in volleyball

Wright City posted a 25-14, 25-22 volleyball win over Calvary Lutheran on Thursday at the Trinity Lutheran gym.

Kara Bernskoetter had 12 service points, including five aces, for Calvary. Megan Abbott added three kills and two blocks for the Lady Lions, Rebecca Thompson had six assists and Emily Layson had four digs.

The Lady Lions (2-5) will play today at Malta Bend.

In the JV match, Calvary captured a 25-23, 25-15 victory.

McKenzie Schulte had two aces and four kills for Calvary (4-0), Kyra Wiegers added 10 service points, Brooke Rollins had seven assists and Ryoko Asakuma had four digs.

Calvary/Tolton will host the Fulton School at St. Albans at 5 p.m. Monday.
