Jays JV soccer wins title

COLUMBIA — The Jefferson City Jays junior varsity opened the season over the weekend by going 3-0 and taking the title at the Rock Bridge Tournament.

The Jays defeated Rock Bridge 1-0 in Saturday’s championship game. Yoann Foti scored the game’s lone goal, assisted by Jastin Magallanes.

On Friday, the Jays defeated Hickman (4-1) and the Fulton School at St. Albans (3-0).

Lucilo Neto had three goals in the two games, while Layton Boyce had a pair. Alec Menzies totaled a goal and two assists, while Skylar Richardson also had a goal.
