A Mokane woman died Friday night when she was thrown out of her vehicle after it ran off a Callaway County road.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports Kimberly D. Leisinger, 39, Mokane, was ejected from the SUV she was driving as it left the roadway, swerved back onto the road, started to overturn and then ran off the road into a ditch. The crash occurred at 9:12 p.m. on Route O, just east of Route CC.
She was not wearing a seatbelt, the patrol reported. The Boone County Medical Examiner's office pronounced Leisinger dead at the scene.
