KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs put defensive back Sanders Commings on injured reserve Saturday with a shoulder injury and promoted linebacker Josh Martin from the practice squad.
The Chiefs (9-2) play the Denver Broncos (9-2) on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.
Commings was the Chiefs' fifth-round draft pick out of Georgia. He broke his collarbone early in training camp and spent the first part of the season on short-term IR. Commings only played in two games and made one tackle before sustaining what coach Andy Reid called a shoulder injury.
Martin joined the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in May. He was inactive for the first three games before spending time on the practice squad.
