Bronchos get past Blue Tigers

EDMOND, Okla. - The Lincoln Tigers had some late chances Saturday, but fell 49-42 to the Central Oklahoma Bronchos in MIAA action.

Andrea Bourney scored three touchdowns for Lincoln in the contest. The first came on an 85-yard punt return midway through the first quarter. The other two came on touchdown passes from Jacob Morris for 14 and 15 yards.

Morris also threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Khiry Drain and ran for a 9-yard score. Lincoln's other touchdown came on a 76-yard run by Morris Henderson, who finished with 175 yards on the ground (13.5 avg.).

Andrew Fishel booted seven extra points for Lincoln, which finished with 447 yards of offense.

Central Oklahoma (1-7 overall, 1-7 MIAA) totaled 475 yards in the contest.

Lincoln (1-8, 0-8) will be back in action at home Saturday against Northwestern State. Game time is 2 p.m.
