Blue Jays lose to Greenville

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The Westminster Blue Jays scored first, but Greenville College rallied for 28 unanswered points in a 28-7 win Saturday.

The Blue Jays' lone scored came in the first quarter when Austin Kempker (Blair Oaks High School) hauled in a 24-yard touchdown pass.

Kempker ended the game with three catches for 76 yards. Mike Washington (Jefferson City High School) had a game-high eight catches for 101 yards for the Blue Jays.

Westminster's Bret Robertson (California High School) led all players with 12 tackles, as he had 10 solos and two assists. He had 11⁄2 tackles for loss and also had a fumble recovery.

C.J. Vaughan (Jefferson City High School) chipped in with two solo tackles and one assist for the Blue Jays.

Greenville is now 9-0 overall and 8-0 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, while Westminster falls to 2-7 overall and 2-6 in league play.
