HARRISON, N.J. (AP) - Tim Cahill scored on a header off a crossing pass in second-half stoppage time, lifting the New York Red Bulls to a 1-0 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy on Sunday.

It was the fifth win in the past six games for the Red Bulls (7-4-3).

With the game in stoppage time, Juninho made a free kick pass in front, where Cahill went above the defenders to head home the game winner.

The game appeared headed to a scoreless tie, until Cahill broke the deadlock with his goal, his fourth of the season - all coming within the past five games.

Luis Robles made three saves for his fourth shutout of the season.

In the 76th minute, the Galaxy (5-4-2) had two great chances, both from Gyasi Zardes. On the first attempt, Red Bulls defender Jamison Olave, who had a brilliant all-around game, made a sliding tackle to knock the ball away. Two minutes later, Zardes fired a right-footed shot from 10 yards that Robles punched aside.

DC UNITED 1, SPORTING KC 1

WASHINGTON (AP) - Kyle Porter scored the first goal of his MLS career in the 65th minute to help D.C. United earn a draw with Sporting Kansas City.

The goal allowed United (1-8-2) to snap a club record seven-game losing streak and a five-game losing streak against Kansas City. United is still winless in their last nine games with an 0-7-2 record.

Sporting KC (6-4-3) scored earlier in the second half on an own goal. The team had an apparent goal disallowed for what appeared to be an incorrect offside call in the first half.

Porter tied it for United with a sliding finish of Chris Pontius's curling cross from the right. The rookie's first goal in nine appearances marked the first time this season United has scored in back-to-back games.

Sporting KC took the lead in the 60th minute after a corner kick. The ball bounced off United defender Ethan White's head and looped past goalkeeper Bill Hamid into the net.

REAL SALT LAKE 4, CHIVAS USA 1

CARSON, Calif. (AP) - Ned Grabavoy scored in the fourth and 91st minutes and Real Salt Lake won for the third time in four matches.

Joao Plata added a goal in the 48th minute as Real Salt Lake (6-5-2) extended Chivas' winless streak to six.

Chivas (3-6-2) pulled a goal back in the 55th minute when Edgar Mejia crossed the ball from the right and Jorge Villafana knocked a header past Nick Rimando.

Robbie Findley added a goal in the 78th minute, pouncing on a loose ball inside the 6-yard box when Chivas defender Walter Vilchez misplayed a cross.
