JC police investigating robbery report

Jefferson City police are investigating a report of a robbery that occurred Thursday night.
Police reports show that at around 10 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the east side of Jefferson City regarding an armed robbery that occurred earlier at a different location.
Officers made contact with the victim, a 28 year-old Jefferson City male, who stated that he was in the 1000 block of West Main Street earlier where he went to meet with a person he knew in an effort to purchase an EBT card.
While at that location, he got into a vehicle with the suspect, along with two other suspects.
As they left the area to complete the transaction, one of the suspects produced a black semi-automatic handgun, demanding the victim's property.
The victim handed over his wallet and was forced out of the vehicle a few blocks away.
The victim then walked home and called police.
Detectives are currently investigating the case to get more information.
