Track and Field: Class 1 Sectional 1 results

ST. LOUIS — It was a good day for the Chamois Pirates and Lady Pirates on the track.

The Pirates are sending five athletes in seven events and the Lady Pirate are sending four athletes in five events to the Class 1 State Track and Field Championships next weekend, following what happened Saturday in the Class 1 Sectional 1 at Principia High School.

Chamois’s 4x800-meter team, which consists of Austin White, Clay Notle, Zach Davis and Brent Dudenhoeffer, placed first with a time of 8:52.28.

On the girls side, Autumn Baker placed first in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:31.93. Alison Mehmert won the high jump with a leap of 5-3.

Calvary Lutheran’s John Meyer, competing in two events, did not advance to state.

The top-four finishers at the sectional meet advance to the state championships.
