Girls Soccer: Waynesville 1, Helias 0

WAYNESVILLE, Mo. — The Helias girls soccer team dropped its season opener Tuesday, falling 1-0 to the Waynesville Lady Tigers.

The Lady Crusaders fell despite having a 22-4 edge in shots on goal.

In the JV game, Helias notched a 4-0 win.

Sydnee Kliethermes racked up three goals for the winners, while Olivia Wolken had one. Lydia Linsenbardt and Katie Schokker split time in goal during the shutout.

Helias will play Monday at Mexico.
