COLUMBIA - Columbia College rallied in the second half to win the American Midwest Conference Tournament with a 91-83 victory against William Woods on Monday.
The Lady Cougars trailed 64-52 midway through the second half before going on a 12-2 run to cut the lead to 66-64.
Columbia College (25-6) took the lead for good on a on a 3-point basket by Heather English with 3:55 remaining.
Julie Teeple (Versailles High School) scored 11 points for the Lady Cougars, who move on to the NAIA Tournament. William Woods (25-6) will await to see if it receives an at-large bid.
