A Jefferson City man remained in the Cole County Jail on Friday on a $100,000 bond after prosecutors charged him with two counts of heroin possession.
Both counts charge that Robert L. Jones, 38, 705A Broadway St., "knowingly distributed and delivered and sold heroin" between Jan. 1 and Feb. 25, 2013.
Jones was arrested Thursday afternoon after the Jefferson City police SWAT and Community Action teams served a search warrant at his apartment, as part of an ongoing narcotics distribution investigation.
A police news release said officers also found a .25-caliber handgun during the search.
