It didn’t take long for Cedric Ridle Jr. to reach his big milestone Saturday afternoon.

Needing just six points to hit the 1,000-point plateau for his career, Lincoln’s senior guard surpassed the mark on a 3-pointer with 16:12 to play in the first half.

Unfortunately for Lincoln, Ridle’s accomplishment was overshadowed by a heartbreaking last-second 61-59 loss to Missouri Western on Saturday afternoon at Jason Gym.

“It feels good (to reach 1,000),” Ridle said. “I wish we could have got a win with it, but it’s just an accomplishment. It’s alright.”
