CALIFORNIA, Mo. — The California Pintos used a big second half Friday night to pull away to a 63-44 victory against Hallsville in Tri-County Conference action.

California outscored Hallsville 14-13 in each of the first two quarters to take a two-point lead into halftime. But a 13-6 edge in the third period gave the Pintos a little breathing room before they outscored the visitors 22-12 in the final quarter.
