Double-murder trial reset for April 22

David Russell Hosier’s double-murder trial will begin April 22 in Jefferson City, after Cole County Presiding Circuit Judge Patricia Joyce and the attorneys for both sides spend April 17-19 in Cass County, south of Kansas City, picking a jury.

They also agreed, during a 45-minute meeting Friday morning, to call more than 200 potential jurors for the jury selection, after this week’s effort in Clay County ended in a mistrial because there were not enough people qualified to create a 12-member jury, plus alternates.
