Lincoln University Curators this morning introduced Kevin D. Rome as the school's 19th president.
He'll begin his duties June 1.
Rome was named after a nine-month search to find a successor for Carolyn Mahoney, who retired in August after announcing her retirement plans last April.
Rome earned his Ph.D. from from The University of Texas at Austin, and most recently has been vice chancellor for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at North Carolina Central University in Durham, N.C.
