Your Opinion: Concentrate on existing needs

Dear Editor:

I would like to make a suggestion regarding the streets in Jefferson City.

Instead of spending money on boondoggles such as convention centers, multipurpose buildings and trying to annex more land, concentrate on what needs attention.

Sixteen million dollars would go along way in fixing the washboards and potholes on our heavily traveled roadways, such as Jefferson, Madison, McCarty, Stadium, etc.

Being progressive is important, but so is reality.
