Russellville 46, St. Elizabeth 36

RUSSELLVILLE — An eight-minute shutout was the key.

Russellville held St. Elizabeth scoreless in the third quarter Monday night, as the Lady Indians turned a four-point halftime deficit into an eight-point lead heading into the final stanza. It led to a 46-36 victory.

St. Elizabeth led 9-8 after one quarter and 21-17 at halftime before Russellville used that perfect defensive quarter to go up 29-21.

Hannah Matthews paced the Lady Indians with 16 points and A.J. Grellner added 11.

Savannah Stiles scored 13 points to lead the Lady Hornets, while Paige Otto added eight points and eight rebounds and Allie Heckemeyer recorded eight points, seven rebounds and five assists.
