Dear Editor:
This is in response to Cal Winter's letter on Jan. 6. I am so sorry that you have never experienced God's love that was purchased for you through the death of His Son, Jesus Christ.
The Christian god is not a god of terror and punishment. He provided a sacrifice for all our sin. It's there for anyone that wants it. Each person has to make that choice for himself.
When I made my choice I experienced a love greater than any love I have felt on earth. Jesus carried me through the death of two children and my parents. My life has had a lot of heartbreak but the peace I felt through it all was truly amazing.
I am praying that the day will come when you can experience that peace, love and joy too.
