Fundraiser for athletic events on tap

A chicken dinner fundraiser to support the Jefferson City Convention and Visitors Bureau in its attempts to attract and retain athletic events is set for Feb. 1.

The event, which is being sponsored by the Athletic Events Committee, will be at 6 p.m. at the Eagles Club.

A silent auction of sports memorabilia will be held with the proceeds used to help fund grant opportunities for sports planners.
