Local road work re-scheduled
Wednesday, January 2, 2013
Due to the inclement weather, a Jefferson City street closure that was scheduled to begin Wednesday has been rescheduled.
Now, beginning Monday, the Jefferson City Department of Public Works, in conjunction with their contractor, Stockman Construction, will replace sanitary sewers on Dunklin Street, at the intersection of Dunklin and Walsh Streets.
Dunklin will be closed to through traffic.
Detours will be posted in the area using Clark to East Elm to Locust.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area. Weather and construction progress permitting, this work should be completed by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23.
Also, due to the recent winter weather, MoDOT has postponed a planned project to replace a pipe along Missouri 179 in Moniteau County.
The work, which was scheduled for Thursday between Missouri 87 and Route P, will be rescheduled.
