LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Antonita Slaughter scored 17 points to lead No. 16 Louisville to a 72-62 victory over Seton Hall on Wednesday night.

Shoni Schimmel came off the bench to add 15 points and six assists for the Cardinals (23-6, 11-4 Big East), playing their final regular-season home game. Louisville has won nine of its past 11 games.

Seton Hall trailed 51-44 after Alexis Brown's 3-pointer with 11:02 left, then Louisville began pulling away. Cortnee Wanton's free throw made it 60-46 with 6:28 remaining, and Schimmel was 6 of 6 from the line in the last 45 seconds to seal it.

Brittany Morris scored 20 points for the Pirates (9-19, 4-11), who have lost seven of eight.

Louisville shot 8 of 14 on 3-pointers and 24 of 30 from the foul line.


No. 23 IOWA STATE 83, KANSAS 68

AMES, Iowa (AP) - Chelsea Poppens had 22 points and 11 rebounds, Nikki Moody added 12 points and 10 assists, and Iowa State rolled to a victory over Kansas.

Hallie Christofferson scored 20 points and Anna Prins had 19 for the Cyclones (20-6, 11-5 Big 12), who used a 13-0 second-half run to break open a close game. Iowa State outrebounded Kansas 43-29.

Angel Goodrich had 21 points, nine assists and seven rebounds for the Jayhawks (16-11, 7-9), and Monica Engelman scored 20.

The Jayhawks pulled to 60-57 on Asia Boyd's layup with 11:04 to play, but Christofferson hit a 3-pointer to spark Iowa State's 13-0 run that put the game out of reach.
