A Chamois man has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with a fatal accident in Osage County last August.
Joel Wood, 23, was charged Tuesday.
Missouri Highway Patrol reports show Samantha Burke, 31, Hermann, was pronounced dead at the scene of the Aug. 7 crash.
Burke was a passenger in the vehicle was driven by Wood.
The accident occurred around 10 a.m. on Missouri 100, just west of Route Z.
Wood was going east and traveled across the center line, going off the left edge of the road.
The vehicle continued east, going into a ditch and striking a levee. It went over the levee and overturned into a steep ditch.
Burke and Wood were not wearing seat belts.
The charge against Wood alleges he was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
