ASHLAND, Mo. — Sydney Deeken tallied her 1,000th career point as the California Lady Pintos opened postseason play with a 49-22 victory against Eugene on Monday night.
Deeken, a junior, led the Lady Pintos with 16 points. Kamryn Koetting added 14.
California led 14-7 after one quarter, 21-14 at halftime and 37-17 after three quarters.
Kayla Adrian led Eugene with 10 points.
California (20-6), which received votes in the final Class 3 state poll released Monday, continues district play against Versailles in Wednesday’s semifinals.
