Three taken into custody after JC drug raid

Friday, members of the Jefferson City Police Department's Community Action Team were conducting an investigation into outstanding warrants in the 1100 block of Buena Vista. During the course of that investigation, C.A.T. officers made contact with the resident of one of the apartments who was found to have eight (8) warrants out for her arrest. In addition, officers encountered a male subject in a bedroom within the residence and noticed the smell of marijuana.

The Community Action Team officers secured the residence and obtained a search warrant, and were able to discover 12 baggies of packaged marijuana within a coat belonging to the male subject, as well as a firearm within his backpack. The male suspect was also found to be a felon.

In addition, hiding in one of the closets in a large trash bag was a third person who had two (2) warrants out for her arrest.

Those arrested were:

1) Laquietta Grant, 20 year old Jefferson City resident, a total of eight (8) warrants, including five (5) state warrants and three (3) municipal warrants.

2) Antonio Banks, 22 year old Jefferson City resident - Possession of Marijuana, under 35 grams, Possession with Intent to Distribute, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

3) Jacqueline McIntosh, 23 year old Jefferson City resident - two (2) warrants, one state and one municipal.
