Boys Basketball: Eugene 81, South Callaway 58

EUGENE, Mo. — It was a nice Homecoming for Eugene.

The Eagles breezed past South Callaway 81-58 on Friday night.

Eugene went up 16-12 after one quarter, 39-28 at halftime and 64-41 after three quarters.

Cody Shaw led the way for the Eagles with 23 points and Travis Kempker added 20.

Troy Hentges paced South Callaway with 17 points.

Eugene (18-7) begins Class 3 District 8 Tournament play Tuesday against California at Southern Boone.

South Callaway won the JV game 52-44.
