Your Opinion: Not bamboozled by propaganda

Dear Editor:

According to a recent poll, Fox News is the least-trusted television news outlet. There might actually be hope for our country. Americans have not been as bamboozled by the daily stream of pro-Fox propaganda flowing out of “conservative” talk radio as I had imagined.

The re-election of Obama casts doubt on the power of right-wing broadcasters. I say, good.

Limbaugh and Hannity and all of the others, whether they call themselves “conservative” or “libertarian,” are just ambitious, talented and smart broadcast personalities making good in an extremely competitive field.

Their business is entertainment; none of them give a hang about our country. They’d like to see Satan elected president because that would give them so much juicy material. The next best thing is to portray whichever Democrat happens to be in office as being a virtual traitor and slave to Satan.

Clear reflections of these ideological flatulations can often be seen in the thoughts expressed by contributors to this column.
