Eugene school celebrating homecoming

EUGENE, Mo. - A week of "Eagles Get Tooned In" activities will fill next week leading up to the Cole R-5 Schools homecoming game against South Callaway at 6 p.m. Friday.

The Eugene high school will begin with Looney Tunes Monday and cartoon super hero day on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, grades 7-12 will compete in a Cartoon Color Class War - seventh grade is "Tom and Jerry" or gray, eighth grade is Snoopy or white, freshmen are Sponge Bob or yellow, sophomores are Power Rangers or red, juniors are "Rugrats" or green and seniors are "Toy Story" or blue.

Spirit Day is Thursday. Students are encouraged to wear black and white. And the homecoming parade will be that evening.

During half-time of the junior varsity game Friday, the Class of 1988 will be honored. The 2013 homecoming king and queen coronation will be between games. And the Dazzlers will perform at halftime of the varsity game.

The homecoming dance will follow the game and end at midnight in the cafeteria. Cost is $3.
