Because of Wednesday's New Year's holiday, all federal, state, county and municipal offices will be closed - except for law enforcement and emergency services.
• JeffTran buses won't run Wednesday.
The Jefferson City compost site will close at noon today and be closed all day Wednesday.
The city's contracted yard-waste drop off site, 2417 Southridge Drive, will be closed Wednesday.
• The State Archives, 600 W. Main St., are closed Wednesday.
• The U.S. Postal Service will operate with normal hours Tuesday and on a holiday schedule Wednesday, with no regular mail deliveries or collections.
• The Missouri River Regional Library will close at 5 p.m. today and be closed all day Wednesday.
• The Daniel Boone Regional libraries will close at noon today and be closed all day Wednesday.
• The Heartland Libraries in Maries and Miller counties are closed today and Wednesday.
• Lincoln University remains closed through Sunday.
• Because the holiday is Wednesday, there will be no change to Republic Services' (formerly Allied Waste) collection schedules on Monday and Tuesday. But trash and recycling pickups the rest of the week in Jefferson City will be pushed back one day (Wednesday to Thursday, Thursday to Friday and Friday to Saturday).
