PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers has hired Sarah Baumgartner as senior associate athletic director.
Athletic director Julie Hermann announced the hiring Friday, saying Baumgartner will serve as the sport administrator for Rutgers' men's and women's basketball programs and as the head of the Rutgers Athletics fundraising arm.
Prior to Rutgers, Baumgartner spent seven years at Missouri in development, most recently as the Tigers' associate athletic director for development and men's basketball supervisor.
At Missouri, Baumgartner oversaw a 15-member staff that has raised $84 million toward Mizzou's "Going for Gold" campaign. During her tenure, Missouri saw an annual fund that increased 60 percent in donor membership and 40 percent in annual fund gift growth from 2008 to 2013.
