Girls Basketball: Helias 47, Moberly 29

COLUMBIA — The Helias Lady Crusaders improved to 2-0 with a 47-29 victory against the Moberly Lady Spartans on Saturday night in the Norm Stewart Challenge at Columbia College.

Molly Sandbothe finished with 11 points to lead the Lady Crusaders, who took a 22-14 advantage into halftime. Helias’ biggest lead came at 42-18 with about three minutes remaining.

Meghan Nappier added 10 for Helias, while Darcy Baird pulled down 13 rebounds. Luci Francka and Molly Light had four assists each.

Helias will host Lebanon tonight.
