Start time set for MU opener

Missouri's football season opener against Murray State will start at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31.

The Tigers have won 11 consecutive season openers.

The game, expected to be on pay-per-view television, is just the second announced start time for a Missouri home game this season. The Sept. 7 contest against Toledo will begin at 2:30 p.m.

The other home contests - Arkansas State (Sept. 28), Florida (Oct. 19), South Carolina (Oct. 26), Tennessee (Nov. 2) and Texas A&M (Nov. 30) - will have starting times established by the Southeastern Conference television partners two weeks in advance of the game.
