Two injured in Sunday accident

Two Jefferson City residents were injured after a two-vehicle crash Sunday evening in the Capital City.

Police reports show the wreck occurred at U.S. 50/63 West and Jefferson Street around 7:50 p.m.

A vehicle driven by Bryan Williams, 19, Rolla, was going west on 50/63 at the intersection with Jefferson when a vehicle driven by Roosevelt Boozer, 70, Jefferson City, attempted to turn right from southbound Jefferson onto westbound 50/63.

Boozer failed to yield and collided with Williams.

Both vehicles skidded off the roadway, and Boozer's vehicle overturned.

Boozer and his passenger, Debra Brooks, 57, Jefferson City, had minor injuries while Williams had no reported injuries.

All three were wearing seat belts.
