CAPE GIRARDEAU - Trevor Schnieders tossed a no-hitter as Helias defeated Oran 5-0 on Friday in the first round of the Cape Girardeau Notre Dame Showcase.
Schnieders walked three and struck out six in seven innings.
Lane Caldwell had three hits for the Crusaders. Cole Distler went 2-for-4 with two runs, Hayden Lee went 2-for-4 and Jordan Backes had two RBI.
Helias (10-3) plays again 10 a.m. today against Dexter.
