Two charged in death of Eldon baby

ELDON, Mo. - Two Eldon people have been charged in connection with the death Thursday of a 2-month-old Eldon baby.

On April 4, Eldon police and firefighters responded to an Eldon home for a report of an unresponsive 2-month-old child, according to a news release issued by Eldon Police Chief Rodney Fair. The child was taken by Miller County ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital, where it was pronounced dead.

The death is being investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Eldon residents Graham Bond and Elizabeth Burnett have been charged with one count of class C felony of endangering the welfare of a child, one count of class B felony of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, one count of class C felony of possession of a controlled substances and one count of maintaining or keeping a public nuisance. Both bonds were set at $100,000 for each.
