Two men arrested after two-county chase
Authorities find components of meth lab

Two men were arrested Tuesday afternoon after a pursuit in Cole County.
Deputies identified an alleged stolen vehicle and pursued it into Moniteau County and then back into Cole County around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, sheriff’s department reports show.
The vehicle wrecked in the 32000 block of Sassafras Road in Moniteau County, and the two men in the vehicle fled on foot. A search of the stolen vehicle found components of a methamphetamine lab.
Moniteau County deputies later apprehended the two, identified as Robert Smart, 20, California, and Michael Kinslow, 23, Neosho.
Smart and Kinslow are each facing charges of first-degree tampering, resisting arrest, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and possession of a drug precursor.
Both subjects had active warrants for their arrest. Smart had three felony warrants for failure to appear from Moniteau County. Kinslow had three misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear from Newton County.
