Housing Authority: Smoking policies won’t change

Jefferson City Housing Authority officials have said no changes will be made to the existing smoking policies months after several residents voiced concerns to the City Council.
At the Council Committee on Administration meeting Wednesday, Housing Authority Executive Director Allen Pollock said surveys were given to residents of two Housing Authority buildings, including the nonsmoking Herron Apartments. Pollock said the respondents were “almost five to one” against making any changes.

Good to see government placating those who smoke inside around children via subsidized housing.

The needy have spoken! Their right to smoke inside around their children while we pay for it has been preserved.
