Jays post 4-0 mark at C.C. Invitational

The Jefferson City Jays wrapped up a 4-0 performance in this weekend's Capital City Invitational with a 2-0 win Saturday afternoon against the Joplin Eagles at the 179 Soccer Park.

"Winning the first three by scoring a lot of goals let us get deeper into the bench and save our legs," Jays assistant coach Scott Blake said. "We needed that for this one. But four games was all we wanted."

The Jays, who had to play a fourth game to make sure the other six teams in the Invitational would play three, outscored their opponents 19-0 this weekend.
