The Jefferson City Jays wrapped up a 4-0 performance in this weekend's Capital City Invitational with a 2-0 win Saturday afternoon against the Joplin Eagles at the 179 Soccer Park.
"Winning the first three by scoring a lot of goals let us get deeper into the bench and save our legs," Jays assistant coach Scott Blake said. "We needed that for this one. But four games was all we wanted."
The Jays, who had to play a fourth game to make sure the other six teams in the Invitational would play three, outscored their opponents 19-0 this weekend.
