City seeks to attract Tough Mudder endurance event

Jefferson City is hoping to become a host city for the Tough Mudder event, an endurance challenge that involves a 12- to 15-mile run and more than 25 military style obstacles designed by British Special Forces.
The Jefferson City Convention and Visitors Bureau has been in contact with Tough Mudder event organizers looking to get the area designated as a host city in future years.
Chris Wilson, sports sales manager with the CVB, said Tough Mudder could bring 10,000 to 50,000 people to the Jefferson City area and have an economic impact of more than ....
