Saturday, September 22, 2012
CREVE COUER — Jefferson City is known for scoring and scoring fast. That trend continued in a big way Friday night at DeSmet.
The Jays scored five touchdowns of longer than 50 yards and rolled to a 42-24 win against fifth-ranked DeSmet.
The Jays, ranked second in Class 6, moved to 5-0 with the win.
The Spartans (3-2) tried to bring seven and eight players on most defensive plays. The Jays snuffed it out to the tune of short drives and big plays.
