Cultural Concert still on tap tonight
Friday, September 7, 2012
Missouri River Regional Library’s Cultural Concert, planned for 7:30 p.m. today on the State Capitol South Lawn Steps, is still scheduled to take place. Thunderstorms are being predicted, and if necessary, the concert will start a little late.
The Michael Terry Group, jazz/blues, will be the featured performers. The event is free and open to the public. Bring lawn chairs and blankets.

This town needs a whole lot more than a cultural concert. We need to all sit down together and honestly talk about race and racial issues. We need to work toward acceptance (or at least tolerance) if not appreciation of our differences.
There are some serious cultural problems in this town that hold all of us down.
