The Jefferson City Council has hired a new finance director.
Robin Milne will start her position Oct. 1, 2012. She replaces former Director of Finance Steve Schlueter, who is retiring from the city on Sept. 28.
The Jefferson City Council unanimously approved the hire in a closed session Tuesday night.
Milne has more than 20 years of government consulting experience in financial administrative operations. She previously served as director of consulting for CGI Technologies of Fairfax, Va., where she worked as a sales executive and accounting manager since 1991.
“We are very pleased to bring Robin on to our team,” said City Administrator Nathan Nickolaus in a press release. “Her level of experience will help bring our financial operations into the future.”
Milne earned a master’s degree in business administration from William Woods University, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Wash.
