Federal prosecutors to oversee any election issues in Mo.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — With less than a week to go before the election, an assistant U.S. attorney in St. Louis has been tasked with helping guard against fraud and voting rights abuses in eastern Missouri.

U.S. Attorney Richard Callahan says John Bodenhausen will serve as the district election officer for the Justice Department’s Election Day Program next Tuesday. Bodenhausen will oversee all election-related complaints and coordinate with Justice Department headquarters in Washington.

The U.S. Attorney’s office in Kansas City will handle the task for western Missouri.

The FBI will also have agents available in each field office to investigate allegations of wrongdoing related to the election.

The same USAG held in contempt by congress is overseeing the elections. That's rich.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Being held in contempt of this congress should be considered a badge of honor. Think of the gun-running in Fast 'n Furious and contrast it to Reagan's Iran-Contra adventure. Some things are just bound to turn out badly.
